kathmandu, 10 aug . A total of 34 polling centres have been established for the by-election in Dang. By-election is being held for the state assembly ‘b’ seat in constituency 3 of Dang and in Ghorahi sub-metropolis-16.
According to the district election officer, there will be two polling centres in ward no. 16 of Ghorahi sub-metropolis. However, there will be 32 polling centres in state assembly ‘b’ of Dang constituency 3, said acting chief of the office Padam Prasad Regmi.
The election of the state assembly seat is being held after then state assembly member Uttar Kumar Oli died in a road accident while ward chair of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-16 Lakchin Budhamagar died of jaundice.
The election is being held on November 30. All preparations for the election have begun, with voter registration now underway, said acting chief Regmi.
